Alternative Subsequent Extended Leave. As an alternative to waiting until the completion of a further 6 years of service, after 3 additional years of consecutive full- time service, a full-time librarian may apply for a subsequent Extended Professional Development Leave of less than 6 months, paid at 90% of her regular salary as it exists on the date the leave commences. A Librarian choosing the option under this Article 23.17(d) will be eligible for such a leave twice in a seven-year period.
