Alternatives to Reduction in Force. Before any involuntary reductions of staff are made, the District will explore the possibility that the staff reductions and program changes can be achieved by alternative means. Such alternative means may include accepting a reduced contract, retirement, resignation, voluntary or administrative transfer, or leaves of absence.
