Common use of Animal Care Clause in Contracts

Animal Care. Adopter agrees to provide the following care to maintain the good health, condition and happiness of your new animal: Annual Veterinary Care – Rabies and Distemper vaccinations, parasite checks, dental care, ear care, Heartworm and flea preventative, as well as any additional necessary and reasonable veterinary care. Adopter agrees to provide proof of testing and purchased preventatives to Furry Friends Network within one (1) month of the Veterinarian visit as requested. Additionally, Adopter gives permission to Furry Friends Network to verify such care directly with the Veterinarian office. Adopter will provide proof of annual care to Furry Friends Network within one (1) month of the Veterinarian visit as requested. Additionally, Adopter gives permission to Furry Friends Network to verify such care directly with the Veterinarian office. If such care is not provided, Adopter understands it will be considered a breach of the Adoption Agreement and consents to FFN revoking their ownership rights and the removal of the animal from the Adopter’s home. Adopter will provide a high quality food understanding this is in the best interest of the animal and will save on veterinary bills in the future. Adopter additionally agrees to exercise Animal on a daily basis by means of walking, yard play, dog parks, etc. Animal will require at least one to two hours of exercise (off and on property) each day to ensure a mental and physical well-being. Adopter will ensure that Animal is not crated for more than four (4) hours at a time until the Animal reaches the age of one (1) year and then the crating should not exceed eight (8) hours. Adopter agrees that he/she will not, at any time or under any circumstance, use a tie out, cable or any such device to secure the adopted Animal outside. Adopter further agrees that it will take Animal outside on a leash and to supervise the Animal at all times while outside. Companionship and Structure –Adopter agrees that the animal will be adopted as an indoor pet only. Adopter further agrees that the animal will be kept in the main portions of the home at an appropriate temperature and not be restricted to any one portion of the home (other than adjustment period) or be kept in the garage or basement at any time. If at any point during the life of the animal Furry Friends Network is informed or believes that the animal is not residing in the main living portions of the home with the family, Furry Friends Network retains the right and adopter consents to the immediate removal of the animal from adopter’s home and returned to the care, custody and control of FFN.

Adopter will ensure that Animal is not crated for more than four (4) hours at a time until the Animal reaches the age of one (1) year and then the crating should not exceed eight (8) hours. Adopter agrees that he/she will not, at any time or under any circumstance, use a tie out, cable or any such device to secure the adopted Animal outside.
