Appeal for Interpretation Clause Samples
The Appeal for Interpretation clause establishes a formal process for parties to seek clarification on ambiguous or unclear terms within an agreement. Typically, this clause allows a party to submit a request to a designated authority, such as an arbitrator or committee, to interpret specific provisions whose meaning is in dispute. By providing a structured mechanism for resolving uncertainties in contract language, the clause helps prevent misunderstandings and disputes, ensuring that all parties have a shared understanding of their rights and obligations.
Appeal for Interpretation. Any issue involving the interpretation and/or the application of any term of this Agreement may be initiated by either party directly with the other party. Upon failure of the parties to agree with respect to the correct interpretation or application of the Agreement to the issue, it may then be appealed directly to the Arbitration Board as provided in Section (3.2) Step 4.
