Common use of Application of Cost-of-Living Allowances Clause in Contracts

Application of Cost-of-Living Allowances. The cost-of-living allowance provided for by Section 1 of this Part C will not become part of basic rates of pay. In application of such allowance, each one cent per hour of cost-of- living allowance that is payable shall be treated as an increase of 8 cents in the basic daily rates of pay produced by application of Article I. The cost-of-living allowance will otherwise be applied in keeping with the provisions of Section 8 of Article I.

In application Such allowance and the adjustments thereto will be applied as follows: Hourly Rates — Add the amount of such allowance, each one cent per hour of the cost-of- of-living allowance that is payable shall be treated as an increase of 8 cents in to the basic daily rates hourly rate of pay produced by application of Article I. The cost-of-living allowance will otherwise be applied in keeping with the provisions of Section 8 of Article I.
