Appointment of Laid-Off Employees to Vacant Class. An appointing authority may, with the approval of the department head and the Human Resources Director and in agreement with the employee, appoint an employee who is to be laid off to a vacancy in a vacant class for which he or she is qualified.
Appointment of Laid-Off Employees to Vacant Class. The Fire Chief, in agreement with the employee, may appoint an employee who is to be laid-off to a vacancy in a class for which he or she is qualified. He/she will still remain on the recall list for the job from which he/she was laid-off.
