Appointment, Reappointment and Non-Reappointment. A. Appointment 1. Persons appointed to positions which under the University of Maine Labor Relations Act would result in bargaining unit status shall be given an appointment which includes a probationary period. 2. Upon the appointment of a new regular employee to a bargaining unit position, the University shall forward a copy of the appointment letter for said employee to the Maine Education Association in care of the UMPSA President.
