Common use of Appointment to an Out-of-Scope Position Clause in Contracts

Appointment to an Out-of-Scope Position. An Employee who is appointed to a permanent out-of-scope position shall retain seniority for up to three (3) months while in such position. During this three (3) month period the Employee shall have the right to excise her seniority through application of posted vacancies.
