Apprentice Mechanic. The following information relays the suggested method of implementation in regards to the proposed apprentice mechanic position at Public Works.
Apprentice Mechanic. Normal Duties Trouble shoot, maintain, repair, modify, paint and overhaul equipment under the jurisdiction of the Company, carry and operate radio as required and operate such equipment as necessary to perform these functions. Apprentice Mechanic. Each period shall represent the number of hours of work specified for each apprentice in his Apprenticeship Agreement, and in order to progress to the next period, the employee must obtain written notice from the Ministry of Labour that the previous period has been successfully completed. Crew Rate Sanitary Crew Rate on a two men Garbage Crew shall be the same as Garbage Driver rate.
Apprentice Mechanic. Shall perform the duties of a Mechanic under the direct supervision of a Mechanic or Shop Xxxxxxx/Mechanic. • Apprentice Mechanic wage rate shall be set at a ratio of the Mechanic wage rate as established by the Motor Mechanic Trade Regulations. Apprentice Mechanic. Apprentices must be registered with SkilledTradesBC and will be paid in accordance with the index in Appendix “A”.
Apprentice Mechanic. Must have post secondary training from a recognized trade school and be currently enrolled in an apprenticeship program leading to an automotive or heavy duty mechanical license. Mechanic Must possess a heavy duty license or automotive license. Must be able to work independently on all equipment assigned. Must accept other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor including vehicle and shop clean-up. Must be able to accept training to maintain skill for all equipment maintained by the Department.
Apprentice Mechanic. 1st year 64% of minimum journeyman rate, 2nd year 71% of minimum journeyman rate, 3rd year 78% of minimum journeyman rate, 4th year 85% of minimum journeyman rate, 5th year 93% of minimum journeyman rate.
