APPRENTICESHIP SENIORITY Sample Clauses

The Apprenticeship Seniority clause establishes how seniority is determined and applied for employees participating in an apprenticeship program. Typically, it outlines whether time spent as an apprentice counts toward overall company seniority, or if a separate seniority list is maintained for apprentices. For example, the clause may specify that upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the employee's seniority dates back to the start of their apprenticeship, or alternatively, that seniority only accrues after graduation from the program. This clause ensures clarity and fairness in how apprentices are integrated into the broader workforce, preventing disputes over job bidding, layoffs, or promotions related to seniority status.
