Area of Impact Sample Clauses

Area of Impact. The COC’s at the site are present variably throughout the Site. It appears the majority of Site #8 is present with fill and concentrations above residential RBTLs. However, much of the fill on the southern portion of the site is covered by a layer of concrete washout ranging between 1 and 10 feet in thickness. As the impact present on the site is based on historical area uses, the area of impact is present up to the property boundaries and the Jordan Creek bank. Excavation activities will go up to the property boundaries but not beyond the property boundary or beyond the high- water mark of Jordan Creek. The excavation will encompass only the northern portion of the site and a channel through the site from the northern excavation to Jordan Creek to the south, providing a new surface water flow path. The excavation area is based on the presence of large quantities of concrete washout, City of Springfield stormwater goals and feasibility of excavation. It is our understanding that the site can gain regulatory closure without further excavation off site or into the concrete areas. Impact present on Site #7 to the east will be addressed in a separate remedial action plan. A railroad yard adjoins the site to the north and a small stretch of privately owned land followed by Jordan Creek and an active rail spur adjoin the site to the south.
