Common use of Area of Minority Concentration Clause in Contracts

Area of Minority Concentration. The term "area of minority concentration" is any neighborhood in which: (i) The percentage of households in a particular racial or ethnic minority group is at least 20 points higher than the percentage of that particular minority group for the housing market area; i.e., the Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) in which the proposed housing is to be located; or (ii) The neighborhood's total percentage minority is at least 20 points higher than the total percentage of all minorities for the MSA as a whole; or (iii) In the case of a metropolitan area, the neighborhood’s total percentage of minority persons exceeds 50 percent of its population.
