ARTICLE COMPENSATION. When a new classification in the bargaining unit established by the Hospital, or the Hospital makes a substantial change in the job content of an existing classification, the Hospital shall advise the Union of such new or substantially changed classification and the rate of pay which is established. If so requested within thirty (30) calendar days of such advice, the Hospital agrees to meet with the Union to permit the Union to make representations w i t h respect to the appropriate rate of pay, providing any such meetings shall not delay the implementation of the new or substantially changed classification. Notwithstanding this provision, the calculation of service for purposes of progression on the salary grid will include service accrued during a pregnancy leave or parental leave on the basis of seniority accrual during such leaves in accordance with Article of the agreement.
