When the needs of the service require, a regular rural carrier serving a route where a relief day is authorized may be required to work on his sched- uled relief day as an auxiliary rural carrier in dual employment capacity. Such carrier shall be com- pensated pursuant to the rate set by Article 9.2.A.1.k., and under the restrictions found in Arti- cle 9.2.A.1.l.
