Common use of Assuming Absent Leader’s Position Clause in Contracts

Assuming Absent Leader’s Position. It is understood that if an employee is assigned by the BOARD to perform the responsibilities of a leader who is absent from work, such employee shall be compensated at a leader’s rate of a pay, at his/her current step level of pay, after s/he assumed such responsibilities for a full shift. It is further understood that payment shall be made in accordance with the provision of this agreement setting forth payment for overtime.
