Common use of Authorization of Employment Clause in Contracts

Authorization of Employment. The Academy may employ or contract with personnel. If the Academy contracts for personnel with an Educational Service Provider, the Academy shall submit a draft of the proposed agreement to the University Charter Schools Office for review. The University Charter Schools Office may disapprove the proposed agreement if it contains provisions in violation of this Contract or Applicable Law. No ESP agreement shall be effective unless and until the agreement complies with Section 11.16 of these Terms and Conditions. With respect to Academy employees, the Academy shall have the power and responsibility to (i) select and engage employees; (ii) pay their wages; (iii) dismiss employees; and
