Authorized Drivers Clause Samples
The "Authorized Drivers" clause defines who is permitted to operate a vehicle under a rental or lease agreement. Typically, it specifies that only individuals explicitly named in the contract, or those meeting certain criteria such as age or licensing requirements, are allowed to drive the vehicle. For example, it may allow immediate family members or employees to drive, provided they are listed or meet the stated conditions. This clause serves to limit liability and ensure that only responsible, approved individuals are in control of the vehicle, thereby reducing the risk of unauthorized use and potential insurance complications.
