Author’s Alterations Clause Samples
Author’s Alterations. Following the Contractor’s receipt of the print order, signed purchase order, and newsletter file, should HRO or the Contractor discover an error in the materials or HRO require a last minute change, author’s alteration charges will apply and the seven day turn-around time will begin anew upon the Contractor’s receipt of the corrected materials. An author’s alteration is defined as any change or correction not of the Contractor’s error that is made in the proof stage up until final printing and delivery.
Author’s Alterations. The Author will bear the expense of any alterations made in the proofs by the Author (exclusive of printer’s or Publisher’s staff errors) which exceed 10% of the cost of the composition.

Following Contractor’s receipt of the print order, signed purchase order, and newsletter file, should SRO or the Contractor discover an error in the materials or SRO require a last minute change, author’s alteration charges will apply and the turn-around time of six (6) Business Days will begin anew upon the Contractor’s receipt of the corrected materials. An author’s alteration is defined as any change or correction not of the Contractor’s error that is made in the proof stage up until final printing and delivery. The Contractor shall assign a printer’s representative as a liaison to SRO to work on this printing project for the duration of the contract. The Contractor shall inform SRO as to when each file will be on press and make any/all projects available for press check.
