Avoidance and Minimization Measures. To avoid or minimize adverse impacts to fish and wildlife resources identified above, Permittee shall implement each measure listed below.
Avoidance and Minimization Measures. The Permittee has agreed to carry out and monitor AMMs that are relevant to their Routine Agricultural Activities as specified in Table G1(Section G below) and as detailed in Appendix 3 of the Agreement.
Avoidance and Minimization Measures. The District agrees to implement the following avoidance and minimization measures. Cattle will not be permitted uncontrolled access within the fenced areas around the ponds. Any cattle access within the fenced areas will be for a brief period for the purpose of providing water to cattle and/or controlling the growth of vegetation. Grazing within the fenced areas at the ponds will not occur from December through April to avoid the California red-legged breeding season and California tiger salamander breeding season (the time when the species are most likely to occur in shallow areas where emergent vegetation occurs). Deep water will be available in ponds when grazing occurs as an escape for any California red-legged frogs or California tiger salamanders that may be present in shallow areas. The District will avoid or reduce activities in the coastal terrace prairie grasslands where Xxxxx'x blue butterfly host plants occur during the Xxxxx'x blue butterfly flight season, mid-June to early September. The District will not intentionally introduce fish species into the ponds or streams within the Enrolled Property. During any maintenance activities, the District, or other personnel associated with the District, will exercise due diligence to avoid negative effects to listed species. The District will implement Best Management Practices for any maintenance activities associated with roads or trails. These activities will not occur at or within steelhead streams. To avoid and minimize effects to the Covered Species and Xxxxx’x piperia, the District will ensure that all education and outreach event activities will not disturb the Covered Species and Xxxxx’x piperia or their habitats, or any other listed species or their habitats. The District will ensure that all guests and visitors will be informed of the presence of any federally listed species that occur on the Enrolled Property and will be informed of areas that provide habitat for listed species. Guests and visitors will be instructed to avoid disturbing listed species and their habitat. The District is committed to supporting listed species and their habitats at the Enrolled Property and will manage and maintain the property to provide benefits to native plants and wildlife. The District has shown this commitment through the enhancement and restoration activities that have been completed, the development of a grassland management plan, their support of the study on the effects of cattle gr...
Avoidance and Minimization Measures. NiSource shall implement the mandatory and, where appropriate, the non- mandatory, avoidance and minimization measures specified in Chapters 5 , 6, and 7 of the MSHCP.
Avoidance and Minimization Measures. If a San Xxxxxxx kit xxx den is discovered in the proposed project footprints, the den will be monitored for 3 days by a USFWS/CDFW–approved biologist using a tracking medium or an infrared beam camera to determine if the den is currently being used. Unoccupied dens should be destroyed immediately to prevent subsequent use. If a natal or pupping den is found, USFWS and CDFW will be notified immediately. The den will not be destroyed until the pups and adults have vacated and then only after further consultation with USFWS and CDFW. If kit fox activity is observed at the den during the initial monitoring period, the den will be monitored for an additional 5 consecutive days from the time of the first observation to allow any resident animals to move to another den while den use is actively discouraged. For dens other than natal or pupping dens, use of the den can be discouraged by partially plugging the entrance with soil such that any resident animal can easily escape. Once the den is determined to be unoccupied it may be excavated under the direction of the biologist. Alternatively, if the animal is still present after 5 or more consecutive days of plugging and monitoring, the den may have to be excavated when, in the judgment of a biologist, it is temporarily vacant (i.e., during the animal’s normal foraging activities).
Avoidance and Minimization Measures. To avoid or minimize adverse impacts to fish and wildlife resources identified above, Permittee shall implement each measure listed below. Avoidance and minimization measures for this Project include biological monitoring for the protection of animals and that all equipment entering the construction work area is washed to reduce the likelihood of transfer of exotic wildland pests’ species. In addition to Permittee-proposed BMP’s, the following additional measures shall be implemented to fully protect aquatic and terrestrial species during Project-related activities.
Avoidance and Minimization Measures. Whenever feasible, the Treatment Plan will prioritize and address the recommendations of the communities associated with the types and locations of the adversely affected historic property as determined by the USACE in consultation with Signatories, Invited Signatories, and Consulting Parties. USACE will distribute the Treatment Plan to Signatories, Invited Signatories, and Consulting Parties for review and comment consistent with Stipulations III: Consultation and VI: Identification and Evaluation of Historic Properties and Assessment of Effects of the PA. A list of potential approaches for mitigating adverse effects to historic properties is provided below and are not limited to this list only: • Site and/or resource-specific research plans • Excavation and data recovery • Artifact analysis and curation • Historic American Building Survey/Historic American Engineering Record documentation of buildings and structures • Yup’ik, Xxxx’xxx, and Alutiiq language revitalization funding as it relates to areas outside of the APE • Transport or relocation/repositioning of the property (in the case of a structure or large object) • 3D scanning and printing artifacts to build collections that can be shared with communities and Tribes • Timing/scheduling of construction and operations activities to avoid, minimize, and/or mitigate effects to historic properties that involve traditional use • Assisting in the development of tribal or community historic preservation plans and developing detailed regional historic contexts • Developing cultural educational materials or programs for use by borough school districts, Tribes, and/or communities • Community training and employment in archaeological excavations • Providing improvements to or maintenance for historic trails • Purchasing and maintaining properties containing historic resources or historic trail rights-of-way • Developing historic property management plans • Creating, updating, and maintaining a website with videos, digitized artifacts, and other information on the historic properties found during the Project, for the duration of this PA • Creation of an educational curriculum related to the history or prehistory of Alaska or region • Public outreach and education programs related to the history or prehistory of communities near the Project area After consideration of timely comments from Signatories, Invited Signatories, and Consulting Parties, the USACE will direct PLP to revise the Treatment Plan as appropria...
Avoidance and Minimization Measures. All Management Activities that have been described for the Enrolled Property will be implemented according to the following avoidance and minimization measures. These general measures are subject to modification over time as necessary. If modification to Management Activities may result in incidental take of Amargosa voles in a manner that is inconsistent with activities described in this Agreement, the Landowner will contact the Service to determine whether an amendment to the Agreement is required.
1. Clearly marked work areas will be established prior to project activities within Amargosa vole habitat;
2. Human access to the Core Area will be allowed only when necessary to carry out Management Activities or for recreational use of existing walking trails;
3. Existing trails will be used as much as possible to enter the Core Area;
4. When existing trails are not available, the Landowner will designate clearly marked footpaths to be used to access the Core Area; and
5. Dogs will be kept on leashes at all times, and signs indicating this will be clearly posted in campgrounds and other public use areas in the Core Area and Enrolled Property. As described earlier in this Agreement, Management Activities associated with the translocation of wild Amargosa voles will be conducted under the auspices of existing section 10(a)(1)(A) recovery permits previously issued by the Service to ad hoc Amargosa vole Recovery Team partners. As such, the appropriate terms and conditions and avoidance and minimization measures contained in these regulatory documents will be implemented as applicable.
Avoidance and Minimization Measures. CDPR agrees to implement the following avoidance and minimization measures: • If bullfrogs or any other non-native animal species that may prey on any life stage of California red-legged frogs are detected within an Enrolled Property, CDPR will develop and implement an eradication strategy to remove/reduce the threat of predation within 0.5 mile of the translocation or occupied habitat areas within 1 month of detection, in coordination with the Service. Bullfrog or other non-native animal species control measures will be implemented as resources and funding are available. • CDPR will not intentionally introduce fish species into Baseline habitat areas and is not responsible for unauthorized introductions of fish. • During any maintenance activities, CDPR, or other personnel associated with CDPR, will exercise due diligence to avoid negative effects to listed species. • To ensure that diseases are not conveyed between work sites, the fieldwork code of practice developed by the Declining Amphibian Task Force will be followed at all times.
Avoidance and Minimization Measures. Permittee shall implement the following measures during project-related activities, to avoid or minimize adverse impacts to fish and wildlife resources.
