Work Period Sample Clauses

Work Period. The normal work period shall consist of forty (40) hours of work within a seven (7) day period or eighty (80) hours of work within a fourteen (14) day period.

For FLSA-exempt classes, excluding "grandfathered" incumbents (as of 1/15/87) the standard work period is fourteen (14) consecutive days within which is included four (4) days of rest (two (2) instances of two (2) consecutive days rest, each) in a fourteen (14) consecutive day period. This work period shall be eighty (80) hours. These standard work periods shall apply to both full and permanent part- time employees.
Work Period. 10.1.1 The work period for bargaining unit members shall be as follows for the term of this contract: Game and Parks 160 hours/28 days Fire Marshal Investigator 80 hours/14 days Fire Marshal Inspector 40 hours/7 days Patrol 80 hours/14 days Such work periods may be changed during this contract with mutual agreement of the parties. 10.1.2 The work period of each bargaining unit member shall be documented, in writing, and maintained by the member's commander or supervisor. 10.1.3 The employer shall provide five work days written notice to affected employees prior to making changes to a bargaining unit member’s beginning and ending times of the work period necessitated by assignment of days off per section 10. 10.1.4 Each bargaining unit member shall be assigned 2 days off during their work period if they are on a 7 day period, 4 days off during their work period if they are on a 14 day period and shall be assigned 8 days off during their work period if they are on a 28 day period. A bargaining unit member's days off may be temporarily changed to ensure adequate coverage is available in troop areas/districts, provided the bargaining unit member is given 7 calendar days notice. This notice can be less than 7 calendar days when an emergency exists. “Temporarily” shall mean the time necessary to deal with such an event.
Work PeriodThe term work period refers to the 28 consecutive days between Sunday and Saturday incorporating two (2) bi-weekly pay periods in accordance with Section 7(k) of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Work Period for Unit Members Other than Probation Managers - The official work period for County employees in this unit shall be seven days (168 regular recurring hours) which start on a Friday (12:00.01am) and end on the Thursday (12:00 midnight) thereafter, except for employees working a 9/80 work schedule for whom the beginning and end of the work period shall be the mid-point of their eight (8) hour day. However, for employees on an alternate schedule that does not meet the parameters described above, a different work period may be designated.
