Common use of Bachelor’s Degree Clause in Contracts

Bachelor’s Degree. A. Members of this Unit receiving a 3% educational incentive prior to July 1, 2007, will continue to receive the incentive. B. Members of this Unit who were not receiving an educational incentive prior to July 1, 2007, will be eligible to receive the 3% educational incentive upon presentation of a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Sciences (BS) degree from a recognized educational institution. The effective date of the bonus shall be the beginning of the subsequent payroll period following proof of the degree or certification being submitted to the Department by the member. Note: The 1% or 3% educational incentive shall be calculated on regular base pay (as listed in Appendix B-1) plus any Special or Hazard Pay listed in Article 8.3 I.C., I.D., II.A. II.B., II.C., II.D., II.E., and III.A. only.
