Common use of Beginning and Ending Days of Instruction Clause in Contracts

Beginning and Ending Days of Instruction. Each year the beginning and ending days of instruction shall be determined by way of the collective bargaining process between the Association and the District. In the event a state or federal emergency creates interruption in the academic calendar that must be made up to comply with apportionment requirements, the days of make-up shall be carried out in any available non-teaching days or added to the end of the year. Such days of make-up shall be considered as part of the academic year.
