Non-Instructional Days. 1. Five (5) of the non-instructional days in the School Calendar shall be used for teacher professional development activities.
2. Non-instructional days shall be considered as instructional days for salary purposes.
Non-Instructional Days. Non-instructional days occurring during an assignment may count as a day of work, at the discretion of the Principal, and will not count as an interruption in service.
Non-Instructional Days. 1. A minimum of half of any non-instructional days shall be used for Teacher Professional Development activities as determined by the Professional Development Committee and/or school staff(s).
Non-Instructional Days. 1. Non-instructional days shall be counted as days of work for salary purposes.
Non-Instructional Days. 1. All the available non-instructional days as prescribed in the School Calendar shall be used for teacher professional development activities (except for Non-Instructional Days Article F.23.2.e).
2. The Board shall grant non-instructional days with pay providing the following criteria has been met:
a. not to exceed the number of non-instructional days prescribed in the School Calendar.
b. the school Professional Development Committee or the district Professional Development Committee has submitted a plan to the Board.
c. non-instructional days shall be designated geographic area or district-wide.
d. if a submission from a school is outside the area of Professional Development, the plan must be approved by the Board.
e. a minimum of two (2) of the non-instructional days may be designated District Pro-D Days and one of the remaining days, on recommendation of the school Pro- D Committee and with the permission of the Board, may be designated an administrative day.
Non-Instructional Days. 22.1 The maximum number of non-instructional days as provided for in Article D.20 shall be allocated as follows:
a. one (1) day for the District-wide professional development day;
b. the remaining days to be used as mutually agreed between the Principal of each school and the staff of that school subject to the Standard School Calendar Regulations and the relevant Ministerial Order(s).
Non-Instructional Days. 1. All of the available non-instructional days as stated in Section D, Article D.
23.1.a. i shall be used for teacher professional development activities, organized by the school Principal and school staff and/or school Pro-D Committee and/or the Joint MRTA Board Professional Development Committee.
2. Non-instructional days shall be considered as instructional days for contract purposes.
Non-Instructional Days. Unless mutually agreed to otherwise, regular employees who are not normally scheduled to work on non-instructional days may report for work in the normal manner. Unless advised seventy-two (72) hours in advance, or at the time they are called, spareboard employees shall report for work in the normal manner. See Article 36 - Staff Development
Non-Instructional Days. Employees shall receive payment for non-instructional days on the condition that the employee works at a job assigned by the Board. Temporary employees working in a posted position at the time of the professional development day will have the opportunity to attend professional development activities with pay. Temporary employees not working in a posted position at the time of the professional development day will have the opportunity to attend Professional Development activities with pay when requested to attend by the employer. This does not preclude other employees from attending without pay as long as the employee can be accommodated and if their attendance does not result in additional cost to the Board.
