HEALTH PROGRAM. 3701 Health examinations required by the Employer shall be provided by the Employer and shall be at the expense of the Employer. 3702 Time off without loss of regular pay shall be allowed at a time determined by the Employer for such medical examinations and laboratory tests, provided that these are performed on the Employer’s premises, or at a facility designated by the Employer. 3703 With the approval of the Employer, a nurse may choose to be examined by a physician of her/his own choice, at her/his own expense, as long as the Employer receives a statement as to the fitness of the nurse from the physician. 3704 Time off for medical and dental examinations and/or treatments may be granted and such time off, including necessary travel time, shall be chargeable against accumulated income protection benefits.

HEALTH PROGRAM. It is a mutual interest of the parties to promote health and safety in workplaces and to prevent and reduce the occurrence of workplace injuries and occupational diseases. The parties agree that health and safety is of the utmost importance and agree to promote health and safety and wellness throughout the organization. The employer shall provide orientation and training in health and safety to new and current employees on an ongoing basis, and employees shall attend required health and safety training sessions. Accordingly, the parties fully endorse the responsibilities of the employer and employee under the Occupational Health and Safety Act. 16.1 The Employer agrees that no form of verbal, physical, sexual, racial or other abuse of employees will be condoned in the workplace.

HEALTH PROGRAM. 14.01 Pre-employment examinations will be required by the Employer. These examinations will include chest x/ray and/or tests for tuberculosis as required. Nurses will have the privilege of examination by their family physician. 14.02 A nurse who contracts any infectious disease as a result of working for the Employer shall receive full treatment and medication at the expense of the Employer if not covered by Workplace Safety and Insurance Board benefits.

All health coverage plans will include uncapped annual and lifetime outpatient mental health coverage. d. A Flexible Spending Account for employee contributions has been established to include medically related expenses and dependent care expenses in accordance with the I.R.S. regulations. Employee contributions for medically related expenses will be unlimited. The limit for dependent care expenses will be in accordance with the I.R.S. regulations. Effective 2012/13, eliminate $300 district funded allocation to employee’s flexible spending account. Parties agree that the district will recoup $300 from each employee divided equally among pays upon ratification through the end of the June 2013 pay period. Effective 2014-2015, the parties will allocate all unspent Flexible Spending Account funds into the PCEA Future Teacher Scholarship Fund e. The Board will offer teachers an opportunity to enroll in Short Term Disability coverage. Cost of this coverage and any associated fees will be the responsibility of the employee and will be processed through a payroll deduction plan on a post-tax basis. Employees may enroll at any time. f. The school district shall offer a Section 125 POP (Premium only Plan)
HEALTH PROGRAM. 37.01 All employees are required to be physically and mentally capable of performing their respective job descriptions. 37.02 All employees may be required to be examined by the Reh-Fit Centre's doctor at the Centre's expense and on the Reh-Fit Centre's time (such time to be paid as if the employee had worked and not to be paid from the employee's accumulated income protection benefits, unless the employee is already receiving money from some other source such as Group Insurance, Autopac, Workers Compensation, in which case the Employer will not be required to make any payment). The examination may include x-ray and other laboratory tests as may be deemed necessary by the Reh-Fit Centre's doctor. 37.03 The Reh-Fit Centre's doctor shall be a doctor whose name is submitted to the Union and the Union's approval has been obtained. Said approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. 37.04 The actual results of any examination required by the Reh-Fit Centre will not be made available to the Reh-Fit Centre. However, the Reh-Fit Centre's doctor will be requested to supply the following information: (1) the employee is fit to work; or (2) the employee is not fit to work; and (3) if not fit to work, an estimated length of time the employee will be away from work. 37.05 In the event an employee is declared not fit to work, normal sick benefits shall apply.
