Bereavement During Vacation. Where an employee's scheduled vacation is interrupted due to a bereavement, the employee shall be entitled to bereavement leave in accordance with Article 12.
Bereavement During Vacation. The following will appear in all collective agreements and will replace any provision dealing with bereavement during vacation that existed in the Hospital's expiring collective agreement:
Bereavement During Vacation. Where an employee’s schedule vacation is interrupted due to bereavement, the employee shall be entitled to bereavement leave. The portion of the employee’s vacation which is deemed to be bereavement leave, will not be counted against the employee’s vacation credits.
Bereavement During Vacation. Where an employee is granted bereavement leave under 20.01 of the contract while on vacation, she shall be reinstated with those vacation credits substituted by the application of the bereavement leave entitlement. The scheduling of these reinstated vacation credits shall be subject to the provisions of 18.06 (Vacation Scheduling) of the contract.
Bereavement During Vacation. Where an employee's scheduled vacation is interrupted due to bereavement, the employee shall be entitled to bereavement leave in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement. The portion of the employee's vacation which is deemed to be bereavement leave under the above provisions will not be counted against the employee's vacation credits.
Bereavement During Vacation. Where an employee's scheduled vacation is interrupted due to a death in the employee’s family, the period of bereavement leave as set out in Article 18.03 shall apply and the employee may take the leave as an extension to vacation or at another time, in either case with the prior agreement of the Employer. Pay for the period of bereavement will be the amount that the employee would have received as if she had not been on vacation at the time of the death and it will be paid at the time the leave is taken.
Bereavement During Vacation. Where an employee’s scheduled vacation is interrupted due to a death in the employee’s family, the employee shall be eligible for leave in accordance with the terms and conditions of Article 16.03 of the collective agreement. The portion of the employee’s vacation which is deemed to be leave under Article 16.03 will not be counted against the employee’s vacation credits.
Bereavement During Vacation. An employee who is eligible for bereavement leave as outlined in this Collective Agreement while on vacation may substitute bereavement leave for the period of the entitled vacation during which the employee was absent on bereavement leave. In such an event, the employee may reschedule his/her vacation at a time mutually agreeable to the employee and his/her Supervisor.
Bereavement During Vacation. If an employee is entitled to receive bereavement pay and the excused days fall when the employee is on vacation, he or she will receive both bereavement pay and vacation pay.
Bereavement During Vacation. Should an employee suffer a bereavement under Article 25.03 (Leave of Absence – Bereavement leave) while on annual vacation, a request may be made to have the annual vacation (or portion thereof) be converted to bereavement leave. If granted, the annual vacation (or portion thereof) will be post- poned and will be taken at a time mutually agreeable to both parties. It is understood that no requests under this clause will be unreasonably denied.
