Common use of Bereavement Protocol Clause in Contracts

Bereavement Protocol. (i) Employees must provide satisfactory proof for entitlement to bereavement leave, which shall be determined in the sole discretion of the Employer. The parties recognize that practices regarding proof of death and bereavement vary. (ii) An employee will only take the entitlement required to arrange and/or attend the funeral, burial, cremation, and memorial service. The maximum eligibility is set out in subparagraphs 18.01 a) (i) and (ii) is limited specifically to scheduled shifts that are consecutive.
