Common use of BID OPENING Clause in Contracts

BID OPENING. If this contract is designated as formally bid, the City will open all bids in public at the time and place indicated. Bidders are welcome to such bid openings. On the other hand, if this contract is designated as informally bid, the City may open bids at any time without a public bid opening. If so, it is expected that bids will be tabulated the first working day after the date indicated as the last date on which to submit bids.
