Submittal Review. 7.10.1 The A/E shall review Submittals such as Shop Drawings, Product Data, and Samples for conformity with design intent and conformity with the Contract Documents within 14 days of receiving Submittals or in accordance with the approved submittal schedule, or other period as mutually agreed by the A/E and Contractor.
7.10.2 The A/E shall also review drawings, calculations, and designs required of the Contractor and its Subcontractors and provided with such Submittals (except calculations and designs of manufacturers of original equipment and systems to be installed in the Project and except calculations and designs which the Contract Documents expressly make the sole responsibility of the Contractor or one or more Subcontractors, Material Suppliers, or other persons).
7.10.3 The A/E shall act upon resubmission of corrected Submittals within 14 days of receiving them, or other period as mutually agreed by the A/E and Contractor.
7.10.4 The Contractor shall review and stamp “approved” all Submittals before forwarding them to the A/E. If it is apparent to the A/E that the Contractor has not reviewed the Submittals, or has conducted an incomplete review of them, the A/E may reject the Submittals.
7.10.5 The A/E may hold samples and other Submittals used to coordinate finishes, colors, patterns, textures, or other characteristics until Submittals for adjacent materials are available. The A/E shall issue a written notice to the Contractor stating that its Submittal is being held, within 7 days of receiving it.
7.10.6 If the Project is administered using the State’s web-based project management software, the A/E shall receive and forward submittals to its Consultants, and return reviewed submittals to the Contractor, using the “Submittals” business process.
Submittal Review. The Professional shall review all contractor submittals for compliance with the design concepts to include the following:
8.2.1.1. shop drawings (up to twenty (20));
8.2.1.2. contractor survey verification data (up to twelve (12));
8.2.1.3. requests for information (up to six (6));
8.2.1.4. schedules (up to twelve (12));
8.2.1.5. certified test reports (up to four (4)); and
8.2.1.6. operation and maintenance manuals (up to two (2)).
Submittal Review. 2.6.13.1 The A/E shall review and approve or take other appropriate action upon GC's submittals such as Shop Drawings, Product Data and Samples, for the purpose of (1) assuring compliance with applicable laws, statutes, ordinances, codes, orders, rules and regulations; and (2) assuring that the Work affected by and represented by such submittals is in compliance with the requirements of the Construction Contract Documents. A/E shall be responsible for determining what aspect of the Work shall be the subject of Shop Drawings and submittals, but only for the limited purpose of checking for conformance with information given and the design concept expressed in the Construction Contract Documents. The A/E's action shall be taken with such reasonable promptness as to cause no delay in the Work.
2.6.13.2 The A/E's review shall not constitute approval of safety precautions or, unless otherwise specifically stated by the A/E, of any construction means, methods, techniques, sequences or procedures. The A/E's approval of a specific item shall not indicate approval of an assembly of which the item is a component.
Submittal Review. The Architect-Engineer will review and approve, or take other appropriate action upon, the Construction Manager’s submittals such as Shop Drawings, Product Data and Samples, but only for the limited purpose of checking for conformance with information given and the design concept expressed in the Contract Documents. The Architect-Engineer’s action will be taken in accordance with the submittal schedule approved by the Owner and Architect-Engineer or, in the absence of an approved submittal schedule, with reasonable promptness while allowing sufficient time in the Architect- Engineer’s professional judgment to permit adequate review. Review of such submittals is not conducted for the purpose of determining the accuracy and completeness of other details such as dimensions and quantities, or for substantiating instructions for installation or performance of equipment or systems, all of which remain the responsibility of the Construction Manager as required by the Contract Documents. The Architect-Engineer’s review of the Construction Manager’s submittals shall not relieve the Construction Manager of the obligations under Article 4 of this Exhibit A. The Architect-Engineer’s review shall not constitute approval of safety precautions or, unless otherwise specifically stated by the Architect-Engineer, of any construction means, methods, techniques, sequences or procedures. The Architect-Engineer’s approval of a specific item shall not indicate approval of an assembly of which the item is a component.
Submittal Review. The CMA shall generally track the submittal submission and review process for timely processing in accord with contract requirements. The CMA shall review the GC’s submittal schedule for completeness and accuracy.
Submittal Review. The Architect shall review the Contractor’s Submittals for conformance with requirements of, and the design concept expressed in, the Contract Documents and approve or take other appropriate action upon them.
(a) This review is not intended to verify the accuracy and completeness of details such as dimensions and quantities or to substantiate installation instructions or performance of equipment or systems, all of which shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. However, the Architect shall advise the Contractor of any errors or omissions which the Architect may detect during this review.
(b) As provided in the General Conditions of the Contract, the Architect is authorized to approve “minor” deviations from the requirements of the Contract Documents (see 10a for “minor” definition). Deviations which are not “minor” may be authorized only by the Owner through change order action.
(c) If the Contract Documents specify that a Submittal is to be prepared and sealed by a registered architect or licensed engineer retained by the Contractor, the Architect shall specify all performance and design criteria that such services must satisfy. The Architect shall not approve such a Submittal if any of its drawings, calculations, specifications, or certifications do
(d) The Architect will review and respond to all Submittals with reasonable promptness to avoid delay in the Work or in the activities of the Owner, Contractor or separate contractors.
(e) Within thirty days after Substantial Completion of the Work by the Contractor the Architect will furnish the Owner one complete set of the Contractor’s approved Submittals, organized in a logical manner.
Submittal Review. The Professional shall review all contractor submittals for compliance with the design concepts to include the following:
7.2.1.1. shop drawings (up to 10);
7.2.1.2. record data (up to 1);
7.2.1.3. requests for information (up to 5);
7.2.1.4. schedules (up to 5);
7.2.1.5. certified test reports (up to 5); and
7.2.1.6. miscellaneous submittals (up to 5).
Submittal Review. The Architect shall review, and take appropriate action upon Submittals for the limited purpose of checking for conformance with the information given and the design concept expressed in the Construction Documents. The Architect’s actions hereunder shall be taken with such reasonable promptness as to cause no delay, interruption or hindrance to the activities of the Contractor or others performing construction activities at the Site affected by such Submittal while allowing sufficient time in the Architect’s professional judgment to permit adequate review. If a Submittal Schedule or time for completion of the Architect’s review and evaluation of Submittals is set forth in the Construction Contract, and such schedule has been approved by the Architect, the Architect’s actions hereunder shall conform with such Submittal Schedule or time; Architect shall be responsible for all results or consequences of its failure or refusal to complete its review and evaluation of Submittals in accordance therewith. When professional certification of performance characteristics of materials, systems or equipment is required by the terms of the Construction Contract, the Architect shall be entitled to rely upon such certification to establish that the materials, systems or equipment will meet the performance criteria required by the Construction Contract.
Submittal Review. The ENGINEER will review the construction sequence and the traffic controls for construction prior to the start of work. ENGINEER shall ascertain that the Contractor has all needed permits to accomplish his work during construction. ENGINEER will review shop drawings, samples, equipment, asphaltic concrete mix design, concrete mix design, aggregate, and other data submitted by the Contractor for compliance with drawings and specifications.
Submittal Review. Consultant will develop submittal log and coordinate review process for submittals, shop drawings, traffic control plans, test reports, and other submittals from the Contractor for compliance with the Contract Documents. The City’s EADOC program will be used to log, track, and transmit submittals and submittal responses. Consultant will review and respond to submittals in accordance with agreed communications plan.
