Job Openings. The District shall be considered to be engaged in the procedure to fill the position on the posting date of the position(s). Posting shall occur within fifteen (15) working days after Executive Vice Chancellor of Human Resources approval. If the District is unable to post the position within fifteen (15) days or fill the position within the ninety (90) day period, the District will meet and confer with CSEA. Substitute employees may not work more than ninety (90) calendar days in a substitute assignment while the District is engaged in a procedure to fill the vacant permanent position. Should a position be vacated through retirement, resignation or any other reason the District agrees that the position will not be filled by any person(s) for more than one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days excluding temporary upgrades of bargaining unit members. 17.5.1 Unit employees shall be given consideration for reassignment to a higher classification when their training and ability demonstrate that they are qualified for such reassignment. The District will prepare vacancy lists as new openings are announced. Each vacancy shall be assigned a reference number. This reference number shall be used on the Board docket as a method of identifying the position being filled. Vacancy lists will be distributed via e-mail to unit employees, CSEA, posted on designated bulletin boards and the district website. Individual job announcements will be prepared separately and made available to interested employees upon request. 17.5.1.1 Where a pool of qualified applicants for a position existed from a recruitment conducted within the six (6) months preceding the new opening, that pool may be used for the new opening in the same classification. This does not preclude existing unit employees from applying for openings per Article 17.2.2. All new openings shall be internally advertised. 17.5.2 A permanent unit employee who acquires probationary status as the result of job openings or recruitment shall retain permanent status in his former classification until completion of the probationary period in the new classification. Job Openings. Professional staff vacancies will be posted in each building and in the district newsletter when the listing goes to placement bureaus, or after the Board of Education acts upon the resignation, whichever comes first.
Job Openings. The Hospital will post a notice of any pharmacist position in a manner accessible to all employees for a period of five (5) work days. The notice shall specify the number of hours and shift. The most senior Pharmacist applying for the position shall be awarded the job in preference to less senior Pharmacists or outside Pharmacist applicants, if the employee is qualified to perform the duties of the open position. The Hospital shall make the initial decision as to qualifications, which may be subject to the grievance procedure if there is a disagreement.

Transfers within the department/unit will be given preference in filling job openings. To be considered for such job opening, an employee must submit an online application. Internal applicants will be notified when the job has been filled. If the Employer is unable to place the selected employee in the vacant position immediately due to departmental or unit considerations, the position may be filled on a temporary basis and the employee will be notified in writing as to when they will be placed in the position. In any event, the selected employee will be placed in the position within ninety (90) days. During the one hundred twenty (120) day period following the effective date of transfer, employees may apply for an additional transfer with the approval of their supervisor.

Bid sheets shall be posted in proximity to time clocks. 2. Bid award will be by overall seniority of those who sign bid list. a. There will be two (2) rounds of bidding for all posi- tions, after which, the Company will fill vacant shifts. 3. Shift vacancies, may be filled by part-time employee until bid sequence is finished or, in the event of no bid- ders, until next full-time class is completed.

The preliminary posting will include pertinent !mown aspects of the position, including but not limited to the range ofFTE status possibilities, shift, unit, minimum qualifications and total FTE availability. Preliminary posting of such full-time, part-time and temporary job openings shall be on the Nursing Unit where the opening exists for a minimum of seven (7) calendar days. In the event that the Hospital concludes that no qualified nurses have timely applied during the preliminary posting period in the Nursing Unit, the Hospital may post the opening on the Hospital's Human Resources website. Such Human Resources website postings shall be for a minimum of seven (7) calendar days and the posting shall be updated at least every seven (7) calendar days. Nursing Unit preliminary postings and Human Resources website postings may be concurrent if it is unlikely that a designated status nurse from that Nursing Unit will apply. Seniority shall be the determining factor in filling such an opening, provided skill, competence and ability are not overriding factors based on the Hospital opinion of the mandatory established criteria of Hospital and unit based standards and the Employer determines that its staffing patterns and requirements are met. Also, the candidate's previous work experience will be considered. After a decision is made, all applicants who made a timely application will receive a response, and upon request, a written statement of the reason for the decision within ten (10) working days of the request. If the Hospital is unable to transfer a nurse to a vacant position due to patient care considerations, the position may be filled on a temporary basis and the nurse will be notified in writing as to when the transfer will be expected to occur. The Hospital will make the transfer within sixty (60) calendar days.
Job Openings. The Employer agrees to post any vacancies or new positions in the bargaining unit. Such posting shall be made, whenever possible, thirty (30) days in advance. Bargaining unit employees may request consideration for such open position by notifying the Sheriff in writing of their intent. Such employees will be considered along with outside applicants for the position.

Nurses will be given first preference for filling the vacant positions in their own unit based upon their seniority. If the Employer is unable to transfer a nurse to a vacant position due to patient care considerations, the position may be filled on a temporary basis and the nurse will be notified in writing as to when the transfer will be expected to occur. Notice of new job openings shall be distributed to the unit employees via department group e-mail and shall be posted on the Employer’s electronic job bulletin board for seven (7) days in advance of filling except for the night shift which shall be posted for three (3) days. Postings will include unit, shift and FTE status. To be considered for such job opening, a nurse must submit an electronic transfer request to Human Resources. Human Resources shall send transfer request(s) to a nurse recruiter. Upon receiving the transfer request(s), Human Resources will notify the applicant that his/her application is being processed. Internal applicants will be notified when the job has been filled. Currently employed nurses shall be given preference over outside candidates for job openings for which, in the judgment of the Employer, they are as qualified as the outside candidates.
Job Openings. Bidding. When it is necessary to fill a new job classification or a vacancy in an existing job classification, such vacancy shall be posted on the bulletin board for a period of seven (7) regularly-scheduled working days during which time employees may bid therefore by submitting a job vacancy application form. In the event employees are relatively equally qualified, the employee with the most seniority shall be awarded the position. Qualifications shall include verified past experience, training and employee work record. In the event there are no bidders for such vacancy or, if among those bidding therefore, there are none that have the above-referred-to qualifications, then the Employer shall be free to hire new, fully-qualified employees to fill such jobs. In the event the job vacancy is filled through the bidding procedure, the employee thus awarded the job shall be transferred thereto as soon as is practicable. The Employer may fill the vacancy during the posting period. No job will be posted so long as there are employees in the classification who are laid off and who are capable as above described to perform the job available.
