Upon completion of bidding these assigned runs become the regular assignment for the driver. Drivers will choose buses from those available of the appropriate capacity as designated for their selected "regular runs."
3.10.2.1. The District will make every effort to increase regular hours of assignment and monthly average work hours for drivers based on seniority.
3.10.2.2. If a driver cannot be reached voluntarily chooses less daily assigned hours than are available to the driver for the year, then bidding will cease until he/she can be reached or said driver shall sign a Statement of Consent that has been prepared by the District. A decision to accept fewer hours than a driver is entitled to shall remain in effect until the driver orientation meetingrequests more hours based on an existing position which is vacated by the incumbent and the District intends to fill.

As a result of this bid process, the affected driver will receive the remaining open route based on his/her seniority. Under no circumstance will the affected driver's assignment be reduced to less than the number of hours guaranteed in August, and the affected driver shall receive the higher hours during the eight (8) day displacement period.
