Bioterrorism, Natural and Human-Made Disasters. 1. The Department of Health Services and the Department of Public Health have established a Decontamination Response Plan for a variety of disasters. The Department shall notify the union within 60 days of any proposed changes to the plan. The Departments shall provide all medically necessary treatments to public health disasters, including but not limited to decontamination service and prophylaxis to affected employees. 2. The Department of Health Services and the Department of Public Health shall provide training, educational materials and public health advisories on an ongoing basis to all employees who are assigned to areas that provide direct patient care about the safe response to, including but not limited to, chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear contamination and disasters. Such training shall be provided on County time.
