Common use of Birth and/or Adoption Clause in Contracts

Birth and/or Adoption. 9 A unit member shall be granted two (2) days of paid absence leave for the birth or 10 adoption of each of their children. One day shall be granted for the day of birth or 11 adoption, and the second day shall be granted on a subsequent day following the 12 birth or adoption. The second day must be taken within five (5) days of the birth 13 or adoption.
