Common use of Board Responsibilities Clause in Contracts

Board Responsibilities. The exercise of the foregoing powers, rights, authorities, duties and responsibilities by the Board, the adoption of policies, rules, regulations and practices in furtherance thereof, shall be limited only by the specific and express terms of this Agreement and then only to the extent such specific and express terms hereof are in conformance with the Constitution and laws of the State of Illinois and the Constitution and laws of the United States. No action, statement, agreement, settlement, or representation made by any member of the bargaining unit shall impose any obligation or duty or be considered to be authorized by or binding upon the Board unless and until the Board has agreed thereto in writing. Nothing contained herein shall be construed to deny or restrict the Board of its rights, responsibilities and authority under any national, state, county, district, or local law or regulation.
