Common use of Bonus for returning employees Clause in Contracts

Bonus for returning employees. The Yukon Bonus provides a benefit to those employees who live and reside in the Yukon and, other than those employees who retire, remain in the employment of the employer. An employee who returns to work in the new school year and resigns within 30 days of its commencement is not entitled to a Yukon Bonus. An employee who retires from the Public Service and who is eligible for an immediate annuity or immediate allowance as defined under the Public Service Superannuation Act will be entitled to a Yukon Bonus (prorated for those employees whose eligibility date for the Yukon Bonus occurs during the school year), provided the employee is employed up to and including the last school day in the school year for the school in which they are employed.
