Building Principal. Within five (5) days of receipt of a formal grievance, the building principal shall meet with the aggrieved teacher. Within five (5) days following any such meeting, the principal shall give his/her answer in writing. If the grievance is not settled at this level, then it must be referred to Step 3 within five (5) days of the receipt of an answer given at this level. Failure to refer a grievance to the next level shall be considered acceptance of the decision.
Building Principal. The term “Building Principal” shall refer to an administrator’s duty year which is 260-262 days (52 weeks) as provided herein and the administrator shall perform services on those legal holidays on which the District is authorized to conduct school if the Board determines. The Building Principal shall be on duty during any emergency, natural or unnatural, unless otherwise excused by the Superintendent.
Building Principal. If the grievance cannot be resolved informally, the aggrieved certified staff member or Association shall file the grievance in writing and, at a mutually agreeable time, discuss the matter with the principal or his/her designee. This meeting shall occur within ten (10) days of the principal's receipt of the grievance. The written grievance shall state the nature of the grievance, shall cite the specific clause or section of the agreement allegedly violated, and shall state the remedy requested. The filing of the grievance at Step 1 shall not be later than fifteen
Building Principal. A problem shall first be discussed with the aggrieved’s immediate supervisor with the objective of resolving the matter informally, at which time the aggrieved:
Building Principal. 3.5.1.1 A unit member having a grievance will discuss it with the building principal, either directly or through a representative, with the objective of resolving the matter.
3.5.1.2 If the grievance is not resolved informally, it shall be presented in writing to the building principal within ten school days after completing the informal hearing. Within ten school days after receiving the written grievance, the principal shall render his decision in writing and furnish one copy to the unit member who lodged the grievance and one copy to the Association.
Building Principal. The Building Principal shall serve as the immediate local administrator supervising the Secretary in all matters relating to the daily work requirements, services, and responsibilities of the position. The Administration shall promptly inform Building Principals of all changes in the Master Agreement. Special emphasis shall be placed on items which directly affect the operation and administration of any particular attendance center in order that essential planning may take place. This shall include items that have been tentatively agreed to in the process of negotiations but have not been finalized.
Building Principal. The written grievance shall be dated and signed by the grievant or grievants and shall state a brief synopsis of the facts, the approximate date of the alleged violation, the section number or numbers of the contract claimed to have been violated and the relief requested. All written grievances shall be presented in writing to the Building Principal as Step Two of the grievance procedure within seven (7) work days after the response to the verbal complaint. Within seven (7) work days after receiving a written grievance the aggrieved employee and a representative of the Association shall meet to discuss the matter with the Building Principal in an effort to resolve the grievance. If the grievance is not resolved at the meeting, a written answer to the grievance, in duplicate, shall be given to the Association within seven (7) workdays after the meeting.
