- C and M. The normal hours of work shall be eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours per week, five (5) consecutive days, Monday through Friday. The workweek will be based on a Sunday to Saturday time period and payday shall be on Thursday. 1. The daily hours of work shall be consecutive except for such rest periods in accordance with the practices heretofore prevailing in the Department.
