Common use of Calculation of Annual & Daily Rates Clause in Contracts

Calculation of Annual & Daily Rates. (a) Except where otherwise provided in this agreement, the calculation of the hourly rate for Employees in Suppression working the 24/7 shift, and other Employees working the same shift schedule, and Employees in Communications working the 24/7 shift schedule will be determined by dividing the annual salary by 26.088 and then dividing the result by 84. The daily rate shall be determined by multiplying the hourly rate by twelve (12) hours. (b) For Employees working a five-day, forty (40) hour week the daily rate will be calculated by dividing the annual salary by 26.088 and then dividing the result by 10. The hourly rate will be calculated by dividing the daily rate by 8. (c) For Employees working a five-day, thirty-five (35) hour week the daily rate will be calculated by dividing the annual salary by 26.088 and then dividing the result by 10. The hourly rate will be calculated by dividing the daily rate by 7. (d) For Employees working a four-day, thirty-five (35) hour week the daily rate will be calculated by dividing the annual salary by 26.088 and then dividing the result by 8. The hourly rate will be calculated by dividing the daily rate by 8.75. (e) The annual rates given are the official rates. For payroll purposes the bi-weekly pay rates will be calculated by utilizing the following formula:
