Common use of Call-in Duty Clause in Contracts

Call-in Duty. A staff member reporting for call-in duty at the University's request, for work which is outside of and not continuous with the normal shift shall be guaranteed three (3) hours pay or three (3) hours work at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times their equivalent hourly rate. In the event staff members are requested to wear a beeper, the Alliance and the University shall negotiate the circumstances for wearing the beeper and the applicable rate of pay.
