CAREER AND TECHNICAL. Faculty Faculty that primarily instruct in an AAS or certificate program and are responsible for the management of curriculum and programmatic instruction in those disciplines. Each committee shall organize and direct its meetings toward the effective accomplishments of the responsibilities, goals, and/or charge. College Service all activities at the College not included in the primary assignment. Service to College includes participation in shared governance, and involvement in standing committees, hiring committees, and task force groups. However, College service is not exclusive to committee work. Of equal importance are individual efforts to improve the operation, systems, and/or faculty/staff, and student performance on an innovative, regular, and continual basis. Committee Chair person responsible for providing leadership for a committee, preparing agendas, ensuring record and storage of meeting minutes, collaborating, and communicating with other College entities, and participating in annual assessment of the committee’s endeavors
CAREER AND TECHNICAL. Certificate (CTC) Application Procedure: CTC programs are limited access with unique admission requirements. Students must meet specific criteria with the academic department before enrollment. The application and registration procedure are amended to ensure a review of the student’s qualifications as they pertain to meeting these criteria. Admission criteria for each CTC program may be found in the College catalog. CTC programs require a mandatory orientation facilitated by the academic department so that students may be provided with the additional admission requirements and due dates associated with on the job training components of CTC programs (i.e. physical exam). It is within the discretion of SJCSD to assign Career and Technical Education program staff to assist with the responsibilities of disseminating and collecting Dual Enrollment applications and supporting documentation needed to fulfill the CTC admission requirements addressed during this orientation. The maximum course load for a CTC student is the required sequence of courses in the CTC program.

CAREER AND TECHNICAL teachers - In determining the placement of career and technical teachers on the salary schedule, career and technical teachers will be given full credit for years of experience in the field said teachers are hired to teach. Career and Technical teachers with five (5) years of experience who earn a B.A. degree shall be placed on the appropriate step in the M.A. column. Career and Technical teachers with five (5) years of experience who earn an M.A. degree shall be placed on the appropriate step in the M + 30 column. For the purpose of this subsection, a career and technical teacher shall be defined to include teachers in the following fields: Career and Technical Education Programs: Automotive Technology Building and Grounds Maintenance Carpentry Culinary Arts Drafting Electricity Graphic Communications Horticulture Information Support Services and Networking Photography Machine Tool Technology Metal Fabrication & Joining Technologies Telecommunications

District claims no right to any pre-existing work product of Contractor provided to District by Contractor in the performance of this Contract, except to copy, use, or re-use any such work product for District use only.
