Caribou Population Monitoring. Scope: All Southern Mountain Caribou (Central, Northern & Southern Groups) Actions Target Timeline Lead Party Current • Monitor population status of all Southern Mountain Caribou with the overall objective to provide information to support recovery efforts as part of the Provincial Caribou Recovery Plan. Population census prior to initiation of the Provincial Caribou Recovery Program (2017) included four to five projects per year.
