Carryover Inventory and Uninsured Production Details. ‌ a. Carryover grain, including purchased inventory and uninsured crop production, stored on or off the farm must be declared to AFSC on the Report of Grain in Storage Prior to Harvest form prior to commencing harvest and not later than August 15, even though the intent may be to sell or feed it before harvest. b. The Insured may be required to provide sales receipts to identify carryover, purchased inventory and uninsured production. It is important to report Carryover Inventory as it may affect eligibility for an advance or claim if in a loss situation. c. AFSC may count Carryover Inventory and uninsured production as part of the Harvested Production if the Insured fails to report, store separately and/or identify previous year’s production, or grain purchases.
