Common use of Category III Clause in Contracts

Category III. If the City determines that the nature of the work assigned to a unit member, requires the use of an automobile on a regular basis for more than one-half of the unit member’s work schedule, the unit member may utilize a private vehicle and the City shall reimburse the unit member at $137.55 per month. In addition to the per month allowance, the City shall reimburse the unit member at the current US Internal Revenue Service standard mileage rate.
