Use a minimum of 1.5 pounds of fibers per cubic yard of cement concrete. Use fibers 3/4" in length. Provide a mix that is workable and one that does not contain fiber balls. After laying and consolidation is completed, watering twice a day for a week from the next day shall be done. The measurements shall be exact to length, breadth and depth as per drawing.
(b) If cement concrete is to be used, mixing shall be done either in a mixer machine or as required by Engineer-in-Charge of works in grades of M-10 / M- 15 / M-20 / M-25 or as specified in the tender item. Concrete shall be laid in layer of maximum 150 mm. thickness with sufficient water and well consolidated with rammer and shall be roughened, in order to have proper bond before the next layer is laid. Placing of concrete, by curing and measurements shall be done as per lime concrete.

Cement Concrete. In all reinforced concrete work, the mix of cement concrete shall be as per latest provisions of IS-456/2000, IS-3370 (Part 1 to IV) as approved by Engineer-In-Charge, with upto date amendments, on plate load theory.
