Common use of Cessation of Disability Clause in Contracts

Cessation of Disability. If the Officer becomes Disabled while employed as an Eligible Officer, but ceases to be Disabled (such date of recovery hereafter referred to as the “Cessation Date”) prior to the date on which he or she would have been entitled to a Supplemental Benefit under Section 5.1, the period during which the Officer was Disabled shall be included in the Officer’s period of Continuous Employment if (and only if): (a) the Officer resumes full-time employment with the Company as an Eligible Officer within 30 days after the Cessation Date; and (b) the Officer continues in such employment until he or she becomes entitled to a Supplemental Benefit under Articles III or IV.
