Challenge of Proposed Discipline. If, pursuant to Article 9.1, the Initiating Administrator proposes discipline of a Faculty Member, the Faculty Member may challenge the validity of the charges, the severity of the proposed discipline, and/or allege that proper disciplinary procedures were not followed. To access the formal grievance procedure, the Faculty Member must first complete or waive mediation. The Faculty Member must request or waive mediation within seven (7) days after receiving the notice of proposed discipline.
