Common use of Change in Legislation Clause in Contracts

Change in Legislation. No liability shall attach to the Seller in respect of any claim to the extent that such claim would not have arisen (or the amount of the claim would not have been increased) but for a change in legislation made after the date hereof or a change in the interpretation of the law after the date hereof (whether or not such change purports to be effective retrospectively in whole or in part) or if such claim would not have arisen (or the amount of the claim would not have been increased) but for any judgement delivered after the date hereof.
