Changes in Law (a) Any reference to a provision of the Code or a law of another jurisdiction shall include a reference to any applicable successor provision or law. (b) If, due to any change in applicable law or regulations or their interpretation by any court of law or other governing body having jurisdiction subsequent to the date of this Agreement, performance of any provision of this Agreement or any transaction contemplated thereby shall become impracticable or impossible, the parties hereto shall use their commercially reasonable efforts to find and employ an alternative means to achieve the same or substantially the same result as that contemplated by such provision.
Change in Laws and Compliance with Laws Grantee shall comply with all laws, regulations, requirements, and guidelines applicable to a Grantee providing services and products required by the Grant Agreement to the State of Texas, as these laws, regulations, requirements, and guidelines currently exist and as amended throughout the term of the Grant Agreement. Notwithstanding Section 11.1, Amendments, above, System Agency reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to unilaterally amend the Grant Agreement to incorporate any modifications necessary for System Agency’s compliance, as an agency of the State of Texas, with all applicable state and federal laws, regulations, requirements and guidelines.
Conditions Affecting Work The Contractor shall be responsible for taking all steps reasonably necessary to ascertain the nature and location of the work to be performed under this Contract and to know the general conditions which can affect the work or the cost thereof. Any failure by the Contractor to do so will not relieve Contractor from responsibility for successfully performing the work without additional cost to the County. The County assumes no responsibility for any understanding or representations concerning the nature, location(s) or general conditions made by any of its officers or agents prior to the execution of this Contract, unless such understanding or representations by the County are expressly stated in the Contract.
