Changes Requested by Contractor. Should Contractor find it necessary to request any changes in the scope of work or any time extensions during the course of construction, Contractor shall submit a written request which includes a pricing and a scheduling proposal to the Owner within seven (7) days of the event giving rise to the change request. If Owner is in agreement, Owner shall issue a written change order or may request additional information within seven (7) days of receipt of Contractor's request. All pricing and scheduling proposals are subject to independent verification and audit. Contractor agrees to make all records relating to any pricing or scheduling proposal available for CCPRC's inspection. Absent written approval of the Owner, through the execution of a written change order, or issuance of a change directive, the Contractor shall not proceed with performing such additional work (unless CCPRC determines that such work is in the original scope of this contract). Contractor acknowledges that Owner's execution of a written change order or change directive under Article 4.3 is a condition precedent to any payment for work included in the Change Order or any adjustment in the Contractor's schedule. Contractor hereby waives any entitlement to additional compensation or extensions of time to the extent that Contractor performs any additional work without written approval of Owner.
