Common use of Chatham Islands Clause in Contracts

Chatham Islands. A Fishery Officer whose full-time residence is on the Chatham Islands will be eligible for the following conditions: An annual allowance will be paid to reflect the costs of living, isolation and unique nature of the position. The Director-General and the eligible employee may agree, prior to the assignment to the Chatham Islands, on the quantum of the allowance, taking in to account the following factors: • the Islands’ isolation; • general living expenses on the Islands; and • ongoing freight charges.
