Transfer Leave. An employee with a family, who is on transfer at MPI expense, may be granted paid leave to: • visit their family; and • assist with the transfer of family and effects. Such leave may be granted to cover actual travelling time plus two days.
Transfer Leave a) Employees who are appointed to advertised positions or transferred at the company’s request may be granted up to 2 days leave to assist employees in finding a home in the new locality. It is expected that this leave would normally be taken prior to the Employee commencing in the new position.

Immediately following the completion of a probationary period that does not produce performance changes detailed in the initial notice of deficiencies and improvement program, the employee may be removed from his/her assignment and placed into an alternative assignment for the remainder of the year. If such reassignment is not possible, the District may, as its option, place the employee on paid leave for the balance of the contract term.
